A preposition is a word or group of words used before a noun, pronoun, or noun phrase to show direction, time, place, location, spatial relationships, or to introduce an object. Prepositions of direction give readers a sense of place or location. Direction preposition tells about the way which a person or thing moves or is directed, in relation to other people and things.
