[# Sample 1]: Essay on My Favorite Season (319 words)

There are mainly four seasons in Nepal. They are the summer season, the rainy season, the winter season, and the spring season. All of them arrive in nearly three months.

All seasons have their merits and demerits. Some create problems for us, but some are joyous for us. Everyone likes one season or the other, but I like the spring season the most. Spring has been called the king of all seasons. Many poets have described the beauty of this season in songs. The morning is pleasant. The midday sun is soothing. The evening is cool and calm. The night is comfortable. Birds chirp. The sky is clear, and the wind is refreshing. Every creation of nature looks very beautiful. Flowers bloom. Trees sprout new leaves.

The spring season is important for farmers. Crops ripen in the fields. Farmers gather wheat and barley at home. Everyone has a sense of pleasure. Spring is a season of Hindu festivals. Holl, which occurs during this season, is an eating and drinking festival. People enjoy it most. Holl adds to the glory of the spring season. In this pleasant season, fields are covered with green plants. Flowers bloom and give off a pleasant fragrance. It is neither hot nor cold. The cuckoo speaks with its melodious sound. There is no cold wind. Days and nights are neither too long nor too short. I hate the cold wind of winter as well as the hot sun of summer. I dislike mud and dirt caused by the rain. So spring is my favorite season.

In this way, we see that this season is so pleasant that most people like it. We feel quite fresh and cheerful. We move into orchards to gather unripe mangoes. We can watch different types of birds in our localities. People sing "Phagu" songs and 'Chaitawar" songs. So spring is the most popular season in Nepal, which I like most.
